The Goal

Wise Employment wanted to develop a range of promotional merchandise which would be part of their long-term strategy to increase awareness for their cause and their services. The range of promotional merchandise needed to demonstrate a message of Hope to the broader community of job seekers that they are supported and can connect with employers and can be successful.

Further, Wise Employment also wanted to streamline the merchandise ordering process. They wanted a process, where all the branch sites could manage their merchandise independently. In the past, managing their merchandise program had a significant administrative burden for the Head office. The unmanaged nature of their merchandise program also resulted in sporadic panic ordering by different branch sites and higher cost of purchase.

The Process

Research

As part of the promotional products selection process, we formed an internal focus group to come up with promotional merchandise ideas for the client. We initially presented a wide variety of promotional merchandise that represented their brand colours. Their colour palette is Yellow, Light Green, Pink, Orange, Teal and Purple.  Each colour has a specific meaning towards its overall brand message. We wanted an array of colourful merchandise that shows off who they are with their message of Hope to the job seekers.

After a couple of months of constant collaboration with the client, 15 products with array of colours from their palette were selected.  Their message of We Believe in Your Ability “Lets Chat” was imprinted in the promotional products. The product range included: balloons, water bottles, an array of bags, lanyards, pencil cases, rainbow jelly beans, stationery sets, pop grips, pens, Stress rugby balls and hand sanitiser.

Further, we also offered a consolidated buying option, where different sites could come together to take advantage of bulk buying by pre-ordering products from pre-approved range once in every 2-3 months. This meant branch sites could get more out of their merchandise budget and thus helping to increase the awareness of their message in different parts of Australia through the use of the merchandise. We provided end to end service for our clients from design to delivery.  Together with this, we also offered an invoicing solution to make their finance department work more efficiently & effectively. Also, we worked with our supplier to deliver the products to 170 different locations across Australia.
